This jam will make your tummy very happy! Chia seeds are magical little seeds filled with superpowers! They are packed with omega- 3 fatty acids and are rich in fiber and protein and create a spreadable jam that tops all others. No preservatives and only 4 ingredients. Quick to make and stores up to 1 week. Substitute with any berry you like!
2 cups of blueberries
2 Tbsp. of chia seeds
1-2 Tbsp. of maple syrup
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1. Prepare and cut fruit into small pieces.
2. Simmer the fruit on low until fruit starts to break down 5-10 minutes. Feel free to mash the fruit with back of a spoon, depending on if you like your jam lumpy or smooth.
3. Stir in the syrup and chia seeds.
4. Let stand for couple minutes. You can add more seeds if you like it thicker. Transfer to jar and place in the refrigerator to chill and thicken further.
